SCULPTED STYLING DELIVERS A POWERFUL PRESENCE
The all-new Kluger presents a powerful and stylish presence on the road with its sculpted appearance and flowing lines delivering a dynamic aesthetic.
With an overall length of 4966mm, the new generation Kluger is 76mm longer and, at 1755mm, is 25mm higher than the previous model.
Although overall width has increased by just 5mm to 1930mm, 20mm wider flared wheelarches give the car a solid grounded appearance.
At the front, that imposing presence is accentuated by the large upper and lower trapezoidal grilles split by the front bumper.
Slimline LED light clusters with integrated daytime running lights are housed atop deep-recessed LED foglights that are integrated into the wider flared front end.
In side profile, the longer body, tapered roofline with integrated rear hatchtop spoiler, gently rising beltline and a glasshouse with blacked out B-pillars all convey dynamic flowing forward movement, even when the car is at a standstill.
The side mirrors have been relocated lower on the door panel to improve forward visibility and reduce blind spots.
Filling the wider wheelarches for the GX grade are large silver metallic 5-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/65R18 tyres.
GXL versions feature a new design 18-inch alloy with a dark grey metallic machine finish that have been designed to not only provide plenty of visual appeal but also improve brake cooling through efficient airflow.
Befitting its range-topping status, Kluger Grande versions employ larger 20-inch Chromtec®1 wheels finish offering a shiny polished chrome appearance.
That same strength of visual purpose is evident at the rear with the wide flared stance, slim LED taillights and large lower skidplate further emphasising the Kluger's solid, stable and grounded stance.
The rear hatch offers easy access into the expanded luggage space with power operation for GXL variants and a "kick sensor" for the Grande version that allows the hatch to be opened and closed hands-free.
The Kluger's sculpted lines are about more than a stylish appearance with its sleek exterior, extended and flatter underbody and adoption of spats in front of the wheels contributing to improved aerodynamics.
Complementing the new look of the Kluger is a range of five new exterior colours2 that join the existing Crystal Pearl, Silver Storm metallic and Eclipse Black mica paint finishes.
The new colours include Graphite metallic, Atomic Rush red mica, Liquorice Brown mica, Saturn Blue metallic, and Galena Blue metallic that uses a precious coating process that gives the car a slightly bluish silver hue with increased grain and the solid lustre of clean metal.
