JOHN MADILL TOYOTA RAISE BIG MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER
Cancer has touched the lives of so many in our communities, and the team at John Madill Toyota Gympie and Noosa are no different. This year we decided to fight back and joined the 2021 RACQ International Women’s Day 5km Fun Run, raising vital funds for breast cancer research and the Mater Foundation.
With the recent loss of a staff member’s sister-in-law to breast cancer, this event hit very close to home and motivated the team to push themselves harder. It was a huge success, exceeding our initial goal of $2,000 and living our motto “Committed to our community”.
The stunning 8km track began at the Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club, through iconic Noosa Main Beach and National Park on Sunday 7th March. Dressed in our matching pink John Madill Toyota shirts (donated by our local BootsCo Noosa), we were joined by our John Madill Toyota Ambassador, Ironwoman and Ocean Athlete, Jordan Mercer.
We are thrilled to announce the John Madill Toyota team from Gympie and Noosa not only finished in the top 3% of fundraising teams out of 1,172 registered teams, but also raised an incredible $6,408 for cancer research!
Thank you to all those who donated their time, money and resources to make our first RACQ International Women’s Day 5km Fun Run such a great success. We are grateful to be a part of such an amazing community.
